Statement on the Alleged Military brutalities at Dome Faase
On 26th August2020, various media outlets reported the alleged abuse of the people of Dome Faase in the Domeabra Obom Constituency, of the Greater Accra Region, by about 300 officers of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF). The alleged abuse was in response to a supposed assault of two officers of the GAF who are said to be members of a joint military and civilian land guards in Dome Faase.
A civilised State must not condone torture!
Our attention has been drawn to an alleged manhandling and torture of a journalist who is also the editor of an online news portal, Modernghana.com. According to reports, three journalists of the online news portal were arrested last Thursday 27th June 2019 by officials of the National Security in connection with alleged cybercrimes.

GOVERNMENT MUST ACT NOW IF WE ARE TO ATTAIN 90/90/90 BY 2020
Since the launch of the global UNAIDS 90/90/90 Goal in 2014 to eradicate HIV, remarkable progress has been made. The Goal’s target is to have 90 percent of persons estimated to be living with HIV know their status; 90 percent of persons who know their HIV status access treatment; and, 90 percent of people on treatment will have suppressed viral load by 2020.
