HRAC is committed to raising awareness of human rights in Ghana and providing support to individuals from vulnerable groups.
Therefore, as part of the ‚Make a Teacher Smile ‘ program, HRAC supports Miss Nana Pokua, a visually impaired teacher.
She is 28 years of age, employed at the Aplaku MA Basic School and has two years of teaching experience, specializing in history. With her teaching strategies, Ms. Pokua employs discussion and tactile learning methods to engage her students effectively. She is very popular with both her students and the headmaster, who expressed admiration for her dedication and teaching ability. He highlighted her positive impact on students’ academic performance and praised her as a motivation for both students and colleagues.Join us in our trip to visit Miss Pokua and to hand over her tablet!
It is equipped with a special text-to-speech function to support her in her work as a teacher as well as in her everyday life.”
